Courtesy of  cult film specialists Arrow Video comes this unmissable triple-bill from giallo master and Scala favourite Dario Argento.

DEEP RED Argento Italy 1975
Incredible set pieces abound in a fragmentary tale of repressed misdeeds and murderous rages. Flavoured with echoes of Antonioni’s ambiguity (even featuring David Hemmings in the leading role), the act of violence has never been more artistically embodied.

TENEBRAE Argento Italy 1982
His baroque colour schemes may have been replaced with the cold clinical aesthetic of the ‘80s but with Argento at the helm, you can be assured that the stylish and sterile interiors of the jet set will soon be sprayed with the essential plasma of life.

OPERA Argento Italy 1987
His last paean to violence forces us to view the evil that men do with unmitigated relish, beautifully captured with a glacial, gliding camera. Lyrical and personal, it may have baffled his fan- base, but represents a final motivated stab at grandiose, spectacular cinema.
